 Me: Boo, I've come back from the land of the dead

Well to start things of, I am deeply sorry for neglecting this blog for quite some time. Looks like work or my laziness has gotten the best of me, huge disappointment to me and readers.
And as I bow down to apologize, I began explaining that there was also pretty much nothing interesting to share while I was working, ironic? I guess that's pretty much how 'working' works in life is, a bitter moment to remember.

And so what I've brought with me form the land of the dead are, the 2 promised artworks. And without further ado...

Owh and I have an important notice to tell you blog readers here, and have little rant to talk about the problems I faced in making today's post. Well as we all know, especially bloggers (on Blogger), Google has made drastic changes towards not only the layout of Blogger but also the mechanics as well. And let me tell you this, it was a real pain in the butt for me to actually post up A SINGLE image now, without going any through distortion problems. The process that I'd have to go through to post even 1 image would go as far as to discourage me from blogging ever again. And the problems are that the images, posted directly on blogger, would either be stretched or enlarged (causing images to pixelate) and I'd have to use another application to host the image and THEN post it on Blogger. And this is a delicate procedure as 1 wrong move would easily screw the image up bad. So since this was too much of a hassle I tried going about this problem. And I found one solution and that was to change the theme, completely (meaning, to change every single line of code used for this blog). And so this concludes that this blog will FINALLY go through a major facelift. I've planned to do so for some time but didn't have a solid reason to do so. But now seeing it as 'a must', then it shall be done. The layout has been finalized in terms of coding but not yet in terms of visual aspects. So this may take some time, can't promise how long before this blog gets a total makeover.

So long story short, I am going change the entire look/layout of this blog. Can't wait to get this over with. And I'll probably, postasneekpeekbytomorrow?? We'll see ~(*v*)~

Lastly, I apologize for my carelessness, making many grammatical errors. It happens often when I just write but don't read through on what I've written.

It's finally over. Well not over OVER. I do plan on coming back to that company to lend a helping hand. That is, if they still want me around. XD Honestly I have to say that not only one's workplace can be fun but 'most' (95%) of the works that were done, can be fun to do as well (apart from being personal hobbies).

Testing out a new brush in SAI. Calling it the bushy brush XD
The brush was meant for drawing/painting plants and I guess fur effect, not sure @_@
Here's my first attempt using the brush, didn't know what to draw and chose a random cat.

I guess I could say it's a good? start, but definitely not perfect or even that worthwhile. But hey, you got to start somewhere. ~R90~

Side Note: Once again, am failing at posting up new stuffs at least once a week, ~3~
Been real busy at work, too tired to do other stuffs after getting home and working is not that exciting anymore (or how it used to be). Pressure, been told to do the same (one) old work over and over again, it's driving me nuts. And am forced to not do other works ( -`д´)ノ (¬､¬) ... durr.

Coloring, a weakness of mine and still is. I'm still trying out various coloring techniques and figuring out the correct (or suitable) color scheme / tone as well as getting the lighting and shading right.

I started off by coloring everything 'solid', one color for one layer and no blending effect. Just including the base color, darker tone for shade and a lighter one for well, lighting. I'm not too fond of the whole blending effect kind of coloring due to several reasons that's waaay to long for me to explain.

And this year around, am playing around more with colors but I only color doodles. I still don't have the guts to color other art piece fearing I'll mess them up and yes it's kind of a lame feeling

I'm starting to venture out more with the tools Paint Tool Sai has to offer.
'Finally I'm making full use of the software, derp.' XD
Different style of shading, where it needs to be shaded and where not too. Not to mention testing out (using) different types of brushes, paper and other material effects. I'm still light years away before I could make something worthwhile I guess. Still it'd be great if there's someone who can teach or guide me, especially on lighting/shading and hopefully shortening the process and if not then that's just me phailing. XD

Well back to work. Need to practice, practice, practice. And hopefully I'll be able to get over this fear of 'phailing' and color some of the actual artwork rather than these simple doodles, and get something up real soon. ~R90~

Hrmm I'm not doing much work at the moment (that is my real job)
... and as for my other artworks, not progressing a whole lot either ~_~

I really need to straighten things up and fast. Well at least I'm making random daily doodles, that apparently isn't uploaded here XD
But will, prolly' by this week and posting them in one go.


Now I focus more on coloring since I suck at it. XD
Including shading and lighting and to me, it's a brain teaser >_> ~R90~


Well yes am doodling. The least there's something to upload, better than nothing. I still can't find time to actually get some of the other works done. Though been meaning to finish them (at some point).

Been meaning to post this yesterday but delayed it due to several both technical (and non) difficulties. But I did manage to 'fix' some of my previous post (in terms of content, not grammar XD)

Anyway, this doodle is more on me testing out various drawing styles. Though the girl on the right is more of the 'I'm too lazy to draw 'nything much' style. XD
The left one is me trying out a cute (or not so), stylized/simplified drawing. Well I'm still trying to see which one works and adapt it as my own personal drawing technique.*ワ*

Probably this week (really am hoping) will get some of the previous works done and uploaded here especially the new ones (but not in DA, yet). Until then this is R90 signing off.

Well that's all I've got to say with this one.
Believing with what I said is totally up to you.
Owh and this one was to try out coloring techniques/style, thus the weird pose XD
I'll post the final outcome here soon, it's nothing great, serves as a 'coloring testing canvas'.

Last week was troublesome. I finally had the chance to finish up the artworks lying around ... everywhere.
But sadly things didn't go out as planned, I got sick and could barely move a muscle. Shivers @_@

And what's worse was even after I got back 'semi-healthy' something went wrong with SAI. Somehow SAI won't work with my tablet. @~@

GG my friend GG. Well I'm probably going to start posting stuffs up this week and hopefully get everything back on track.


So here's a fan-art of my friend's OC, Kabijju.
The lineart was done about a or two week/s ago. Didn't have time to color it but finally got to it yesterday.

I really do hope that I'm able to finish what I started this time (It is a fanart) XD
And when I do I'll post the final image here.



Right now I'm playing around with digital coloring techniques and hope that I'll one day find my true inner coloring style XD

Here's another attempt to finish a drawing within 10 to 15 minutes and it pretty much ...

Failed.

It actually took me around 20 minutes (counting in Tobuscus videos XD) to get the whole thing drawn and colored and since it's already past the 10-15 minute mark I figured why not just play around with the color and effects and doesn't turn out any good. That actually took 30 minutes more, I gotta really speed things up. ~_~

Well instead of doing the same intro like me saying being back here, will upload more... blah blah blah, without actually doing it (I know, I'm terrible at keeping promises XD)
I~ma just going to slap my newest, current W.I.P.


Really, there's not much to say. Though I've been thinking about a new (third) story for these characters, but who knows. I hope to make something out of this new story and not let it sit in my mind forever. XD






I don't have a lot of stories, the first one is still 'on progress' and progressing as I live out my days. I was thinking this story would be a 'spin-off' or a far distant storyline from the first story but it's uncertain. Though I've thought about it and kind of 'liking' that idea for more than 50%. But it's not like I'll be releasing it to the public anytime soon. The arguments, storyline is still all in my mind. So, who cares right XD

Other news, I totally forgot my writing, upload format for my blog. XD
Guess these things happens if you neglect something for quite a while. ~_~
This semester is the most relaxing semester I've ever gone through my whole (university) study life.
Though I still have some assignments to do, (always is, and will be), but it's not bothering me much. But I'm still going to blame my negligence on the assignments. >D

Well I thought since I can't 'finish' my actual drawings for uploading purposes, then I'll make daily doodles. From Monday till Friday, just to keep my DA account alive@_@
And so, 'Project Doodle' starts...

And I'm not talking about W.I.P (work-in-progress) kinds of works that I usually upload here, they're actual works done but at a lower, smaller quality and at a fast pace.

Currently, I've already uploaded 4 doodles (including today). Started doing this 28th of Sept and only now have I announce it.



(and by the way, the picture above is the first doodle I've created and done, uploaded on DA)

So doodle works are now available, I wish I could same the same to my other works as well ~.~
And I'll try to keep making more (weekdays only) till something comes up and back to my busy old self, again~.

EDIT: Okay so here's a different character update. Introducing one of my 'yokai' characters.
 



One of the five (I think) strongest yokai for the story I'm working on. The story won't be posted anywhere anytime soon but hey, if I start now I'd probably come with a better one later on and don't have to start from scratch. Optimistic :D




It's been so long since I've written something for my blog and I think I lost my writing 'abilities'.
Well at least it's short and simple, as how I intend it to be.


My tiresome days is finally coming to an end. I just have two more test papers and then I'm done for this semester.

Sorry for just realizing this now (far too late).

4 Days after, I finally managed to completely trace back the three yokai for my manga. It took me 4 days cause I was messing around with bunch of other stuffs lying around my desktop, I figured it could be done in 3 days. 2 days if I'm not doing anything else and sit in front of the computer like a zombie. *ワ*
Here it is ...


They posses different personality and cases regarding their existence.

The left one is known as the silent killer. Protecting a person's life without knowing that person is evil. She's not a hired assassin but more like a loyal guardian. She has a good will and heart but sadly protects the wrong person. She is also known as an avenger.


The middle one is someone who is not satisfied with what she is. She possess those who aren't satisfied with themselves and wants to change every bit of them including their, gender. If you're now thinking, could this yokai be a girl or a boy, then you're on the right track.

And lastly on the right is someone who lives their lives entirely or mostly with their lust. This lusty yokai lady possess those who want nothing more in their lives but wanting to just satisfy their lust which can be deadly to others.

Well that's a bit of their full profile. When I get the story done than I'll release their full bio.
That is, if I can get it starting and I really do want to get the manga started ;D

Well besides doing line-arts for my scanned images I also did some banners regarding on what I currently have on the internet.

Here are the two banners That I'm currently done. Both was done from scratch on SAI and now I have the default template for making some more in the near future, perhaps. Do I want to make banners for someone, well never thought of it yet. Maybe or maybe not but you can ask me and I'll think about it. ;D

On the left side is the first original version I made, tall and skinny. This banner is actually an announcement from me to all my friends that I 'now' own a Skype account and not only on Yahoo Messenger anymore. Yea, nothing big it could be an embarrassing fact that just recently I have a Skype account XD ~Just like doing something different, creating trademarks and all that~ *ワ*

Finally, last one on the right is the final second version and if I were to make more, I'll most likely use this version. A bit wider then before but no change in height. And as you can see clearly, this one is a banner for my blog.

And about the animation I once showed you guys a preview of it, it's now done. Well it was done weeks ago but just recently I uploaded it here for show. This animation was done for my Storyboard class assignment. Getting it done was a bit of a hassle but at least it was 'basically' done. I didn't have enough time to 'decorate' a little here and there thus why I said it was 'basically' done. XD

The story is about living life as simple as you can and be grateful with what you have. The rest I leave it for you to see and tell me what you think. *ワ*





Hope you guys have a fun & AWSM weekend. I won't be home for one week long starting this Sunday meaning that I won't probably be able to go online and upload any stuffs. But I can assure you that even though I'm on a trip, my hobby (work) will keep on rolling.

It's been a while since my last update, and I know I said I'd update soon, sorry for this long delay. Let's not delay anymore and get on with the updates *ワ*

First up is this character. I believe she was my 3rd or 5th officially original character. I come to love 'tsundere' characters, don't know but there's something to it that makes me attracted to them XD Well here she is:

Name: Cathylia, Full name - unknown
Type: Tsundere (of course)

This wasn't my first attempt at drawing her. Her age is somewhere around 18 ~ 20 years. My first attempt at drawing her was that her hair had too many curls. Had to remove some for ease of drawing XD




Next up is doodlings in SAI

Just did a character drawing based on the many painting software that I'm familiar with. There's actually many more but I just wanted to focus on these two.
The winning posing here is Sai-Tan and PS-Tan just doesn't stand a chance
This is however in my opinion, please don't take it seriously XD



And below, these artworks were made for my 'Storyboard : Digital artwork' portfolio.


Thank goodness my hobby was doing digital artwork, that made things a lot easier. I had finish 4 at the moment and needed 1 more to complete it. Well I've shown you 4 out of 5 of these characters and 3 out of 4 I've introduced. Only 2 more characters here which I haven't introduce, yet. The girl behind, top right (black hair) is actually shown on the banner - she is on the far right side.


I'll get to those two later, there's still a lot more to go through and finish off. And there's a better version, drawing of those two, that I'll be showing it to you guys. So it's worth waiting. ;D


Also last but not least is this little manga project that we've (me and my collage friends) been working on.


This project was once abandon due to some 'apocalyptic' circumstances XD But mostly because I failed to finish the first chapter which I had previously promised to do. Well that was back then ~2009 and now it's 2011. Finished it and ready to be continued, yes I fail at deadlines XD
But since we established this sort of company/club thing, I brought back this project up and hopefully continue it.

Owh yea, why it's called the 'Project 1000 or 1K' manga was that we plan on making a full story manga where Each chapter is made by different individuals. Storyline is up to you as well as your drawing styles. Limitations are that you can't do more than 1 chapter and that it's about 10 to 15 pages long. You can't kill the main character (Please don't) and that's about it.
And you have to continue from the part the manga ended off (no spin-offs or sidetracks please XD).

Currently this project is still in beta and not yet ready to be released to the public. This is so that we will be able to construct a well laid out rules and regulation to make this project more fun and successful. Hopefully it'll be released to the public and I'll announce it when it's ready. ;D

As I mentioned before I'd resume my hobby by this week (starting Saturday) but it looks like I'll have to delay it for a while since my, actually our (group work) was postponed till Wednesday this week. So...I got ONE last assignment and my holiday officially starts on Wednesday (right after the submission), yeah. >D

And since I couldn't get much done with my digital artwork or drawings, might as well post up some junkies or abandon projects/artworks. ~_~
Just be uploading one at a time, don't want too many garbage hanging around here XD

Drawing discontinued due to dissatisfaction causing lack of attention.
In short, not good then forgotten.

This art was intentionally done for those debating that mouse sucks and tablet rules. My respond, none matters. What count's is your skill. If you have no idea how to draw, having a pen and tablet doesn't help and those who can draw with a mouse can be soo much better then those owning a tablet. And what I drew is is to show that when I bought the tablet it came with a wireless mouse as well. Means that mouse are still important whether it'd be for drawing or not.

Well that's all, now that I look at it this seems more like a rant than showing out my artwork.
Owh well...

Haha, it's been a while since I've published about my artworks right?
Well today it's a bit different than what I normally post.
First things first, let me introduce you to...












'Chibi' drawing of Azelia, her first appearance.
Believe it or not I went through back some of my stuffs to be able to remember back who she was. I really am neglecting'em ~_~. Well, no worries, I'll get back on track as soon as all my works are done >)
This drawing was done a long time ago and just recently have I been able to color her. I plan out on coloring these kinds of drawings simply. So I figured, why not just start it with the basics.
The overall color scheme is done and I'm quite satisfied with it. If you're thinking she's a bit creepy to look at than yes, I agree. But remember, everything I post here is all work in progress, so she's creepy now, let's not hope she's still creepy looking once I'm done. XD

'Future' note: I just can't find or give her a well enough important role to play in as the story goes on. And now I officially declare her as the first 'undeveloped' character I've made. ~_~

I'm not promising viewers that I'll be uploading videos anytime soon. I'd love to play around with flash animation and stuff, but for the time being for me it's just too time consuming.
Okay, that's enough info for today XD
Here's the flash video I promised. It's 6 second of what to become 30~40 seconds long animation. Assignment purposes and probably a test for making more animation (PROBABLY, not promising it or anything).




Note: I had to upload it on Youtube since uploading videos via blogger just couldn't be done (it was buggy and caused lots of problems).

Note 2: My Youtube channel is purposely, solely created to watch my favorite videos and channel and not to upload any video work. So if you're thinking of watching me make more videos than you're out of luck. But I'll inform it here if I ever decide to make any :D.

I'll try to upload the full length video once I'm done with it (Again, not promising this either) but, I'll 'really' try to. :D

And if you're thinking that this is the big news/project I've been telling you about than the answer is no. :D
Don't worry about that. It'll come soon, and I'll show it when it's 100% done, though it won't be as amusing (If you're amused that is XD) as watching the animation (Maybe XD). But I'll definitely post it up when I'm done with it.

It's been many days since I post an update ~_~
I really gotta lay off the games.
That's right, for the past few days I've been doing nothing much but playing 'a' game. Yea only one game and that's Pokemon XD
Gotta hand it to you, PKMN White on NDS sure is addicting XD (like all the previous versions are, addicting).
The PKMN design is not that amusing (to me), but the play factor is there. Well enough about me blabbering about the game, this section was meant to show my updated Digital Artworks :D


It took about 2 days and today it's finally finish for the basic coloring of these two.
Two new character currently under development. On the left is Mirayu and on the right is Ishi.


I've got another drawing with a complete line art, but I'll keep it for the upcoming post...^-^

One thing is confirmed about him, is that he is one of the top 5 mischievous people who would want to sabotage the entire world.

What you're seeing is actually the Yokai version of the real host. The host at the moment was headless XD. Yea, not gonna leave it that way *ワ*
The host isn't that much appealing as how the yokai looks like, well at least to me it's not :D

This is the first monstrous digital drawing I've done. I'm quite satisfied with the end result. *ワ*

Drawing him was quite a hoot, a lot of details were drawn on him. But I enjoyed it. Not very tiring and wasn't at all stressful XD

Alluvia Completed on 5th of March, screenshot shows her bell incomplete :P
Drawing her was a breeze, only few modifications were made. She was one of my many drawings that I was satisfied with the end result.

And also...












Mary, Version 1 - before she was given a specific character role. Drawing her was a pain. The main reason was that because the she was hand drawn 45 degree angle, which really made the drawing out of proportion. Noobish attempt XD. anyway she was corrected digitally.
She was completed on 10th of March and modified on 11th of March.
